I once rented a car from Hertz in Wellington and paid 250 USD for the week. I then received another bill for 500 dollars a month later because of all the speed cameras. And this was with me being careful. If I can’t have fun in a f**king Toyota Corolla, then high power cars are probably also no fun in NZ.

I’m visiting NZ in January, we’ll see if I can work this into my travel expenses.

Is there any use for this car in the nanny state? I have to imagine the taxes are hilarious, too.

Have you driven it? I’ve taken a c63 for a short spin but i need to experience an e63, preferably wagon soon

We’re not that bad when it comes to tax and nanny state. You don’t have to drive far to get out of the city and into more interesting/less populated roads.

What does a new E63 cost there? NZD is fine.
A car like the E63 needs long straight stretches and no cops :)

Warranty ran out I assume

Probably. I would own one out of warranty. They’re pretty reliable.

I would never own one. Sorry I should clarify: I will never have the money to buy one.
